John Mulaney, a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer, used to perform at the Saturday Night Live.
John Edmund Mulaney was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 26, 1982, to two lawyers of Irish Catholic descent.
He made a breakout with the Saturday Night Live (1975) in 2008 as a writer and used to appear on the show’s Weekend Updates.
Mulaney worked on a number of sketches and characters from 2008 to 2013, including Stefon, a recurring character co-created by Bill Hader.
Since his departure from SNL, he worked on different projects such as Mulaney (2014), a sitcom where he was the creator and the lead.
Despite that, Mulaney has hosted SNL six times.
He went on to voice the character of Spider-Ham/Peter Porker in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), which was his debut in a feature.
In 2004, after graduating from Georgetown, he moved to New York City where he wanted to make it as a comedian, and worked as an office assistant at Comedy Central.
He won two Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for Kid Gorgeous and Baby J.
Mulaney released a musical comedy special for kids on Netflix, John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch in 2019.
His other works include creating the live Broadway show “Oh, Hello” with his go-to writing partner Nick Kroll, voicing for the movies Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022), and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022).
