US professional tennis player Coco Gauff began playing tennis at the age of six and has career-high rankings of world No. 2 in singles and of world No. 1 in doubles.

Born on March 13, 2004, Coco Gauff’s passion for the sport intensified after winning the “Little Mo” eight-and-under national championship in 2012.

The tennis player started training at the Mouratoglou Academy in France when she was ten. The training was under the guidance of Serena Williams’ former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou.

Gauff has won nine career singles titles and nine doubles titles. The singles include the 2023 US Open and 2024 WTA Finals, while the doubles were the 2024 French Open.

Debuting at an ITF tournament in Florida, Gauff turned professional in May 2018.

When Gauff was 15, she gained international attention in 2019. She became the youngest player to qualify for Wimbledon’s main draw in the Open Era.

The requirement arose after beating Venus Williams in the first round and advancing to the fourth round.

The player has since obtained nine WTA singles titles, including the 2023 US Open.

It was the first time a US teenager had won the tournament since Serena Williams in 1999.

Coco Gauff was ranked No 1 in doubles in 2022 and achieved nine doubles titles.

Gauff was ranked No 2 in singles this year and continues to dominate women’s tennis.

During her opening-round win at the French Open, Coco Gauff blamed her coach for a racket mishap at the French Open.
