Actress Natalie Portman divorces Benjamin after 11 years of marriage

Oscar-winning American actress Natalie Portman has officially divorced her French dancer and choreographer husband Benjamin Millepied.

A source close to the Hollywood star said after 11 years of marriage, the couple finalized their separation last month in France where they have two children, reports the Associated Press.

In the last July, the “Black Swan” star filed to end her marriage to Benjamin Millepied, a choreographer and director.

Representatives for Natalie Portman and Millepied did not immediately respond to requests for comment in this regard.

Natalie Portman, 42, holds both US and Israeli citizenship.

Portman, one of Hollywood’s top actresses, made her debut as a child star in Luc Besson’s thriller “Leon: The Professional,”

In 2009, she met Millepied on the set of “Black Swan,” in the ultra-competitive world of professional ballet.

Actress Natalie Portman won the best actress Academy Award for Black Swan.

Millepied provided choreography and starred in the film too.

The couple, who married in California in 2012, have two children– son Aleph, 12, and daughter Amalia, 7.

Choreographer Millepied made his directorial debut with “Carmen,” starring Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal.

The films opened at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and debuted in cinemas last year.
