The friendship between musicians Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé extends over 30 years. The two went from living together in the house to performing together.

They are even each other’s aunts now.

Rowland was only 11 years old when she moved in with Beyoncé and her family, said the “Halo” singer’s mom, Tina Knowles, in a 2015 essay for TIME.

Prior to Rowland moving in, she and Beyoncé were already singing together at the age of 9 in what would later become their legendary girl group Destiny’s Child, said the “Cuff It” singer in a 2004 interview.

The duo have been the best of friends ever since, which undoubtedly became closer with each life stage they tackled.

The two are now both married with kids. Rowland has two sons, Titan, 8, and Noah, 2, with Tim Weatherspoon, while Beyoncé, has three with kids with Jay-Z, Blue Ivy, 11, and 6-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.

Beyoncé and Rowland came to fame in the music industry with Destiny’s Child, which primarily included Michelle Williams as the third member, although LeToya Luckett, Farrah Franklin, and LaTavia Roberson were also members on different occasions.

Outside the group, Rowland and Beyoncé continued to break ceilings and shape trends as solo artists.

When Beyoncé became the first Black woman to headline Coachella in 2018, Michelle and Rowland joined her in a surprise Destiny’s Child reunion.

Even though the group is yet to announce whether they would officially reunite for a sixth album, Rowland did acknowledge that she loves being on-stage with her close compatriots.

In a February 6 interview with ET, Rowland reacted to Jay-Z’s Grammy speech where he called out the Recording Academy for looking past Beyoncé for the album of the year award.

Rowland told the outlet that Beyoncé should be celebrated and should have won the album of the year at least a few times.

Beyoncé later attended the New York premiere of Rowland’s new movie, “Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa,” returning the favor, which was released on Netflix on February 23.
