Bob Saget

Bob Saget, the comedian, and actor who was discovered dead in an Orlando, Florida hotel room last month at the age of 65, died from brain trauma after accidentally striking his head, his family confirmed on Wednesday.

Saget, famously known professionally as the cheerful dad on the comedy series “Full House,” most probably banged the back of his head and “considered nothing of it and went back to sleep”. There was no sign of alcohol or drugs being used. “According to the authorities, Bob died as a consequence of head trauma.” He hosted “America’s Funniest Home Videos” from 1989 until 1997.

Throughout the 1990s, the 65-year-old was a familiar face on American television screens as Danny Tanner’s father on Full House and as the presenter of America’s Funniest Home Videos.

From 2005 to 2014, he was the narrator of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, and from 2016 to 2020, he played Danny Tanner in the Netflix revival Fuller House. In one-time or recurring appearances in TV series and movies, Saget frequently played himself or a caricature of himself.

The actor was found unresponsive in a room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando on Jan. 9 and declared dead at the scene, according to the Orange County sheriff’s office at the time.

Saget had recently begun a comedy tour and had performed near Jacksonville the night before. In one of his most recent Instagram post, he paid tribute to the “very great audience” and “plenty of love.”
