Manchester City nears its fourth Premier League title in a row by thrashing Fulham 4-0 on Saturday, with Josko Gvardiol scoring a double, reports the Associated Press.

City remains indomitable by its undefeated run to 33 games in all competitions and has to win only its final two matches.

On Tuesday, it faces Tottenham and West Ham at home ground on May 19, to seize the Premier League title for the fourth time in a row.

Gvardiol, who has been playing as an attacking left back of late, settled the City nerves by firing in on his weaker right foot and opening the scoreboard 13 minutes into the game by exchanging a one-two with Kevin De Bruyne before netting the ball.

Later in the 71st minute, the Croatian wrapped up City’s victory by sliding in to meet the cross by Bernardo Silva with an effort that dribbled over the line.

With these, the Croatian international’s tally rose to five goals in his last seven games. He didn’t scored a single goal in his previous 32 matches for Man City.

Between Gvardiol’s strikes, Phil Foden scored a goal in the 59th minute, making it his 17th league goal in the season.

Julian Alvarez added a fourth six minutes into stoppage time from the penalty spot, after being fouled by Issa Diop, who got a second yellow card for the challenge.

Today’s victory takes Manchester City two points clear at the top of the table and heightens the pressure on Arsenal, who is second, ahead of their Manchester United visit on Sunday.
