Manchester City became the undisputed fourth straight time Premier League winners on Sunday as Phil Foden’s double secured a 3-1 victory over West Ham.
No teams in the history of the English top flight had ever won four consecutives titles, but City have become used to rewriting the record books under the guardianship of Pep Guardiola, reports AFP.
The Catalan coach has been the mastermind behind the six Premier League titles in the last seven seasons.
In four of those years, City also exceeded the 90-point mark and were propelled to it this season to block Arsenal their first title since 2003-04.
A happy Guardiola during the press briefing said he was “pretty sure” for his fans that City would not be the best ever.
No other teams has been better in goals, points, and titles, he added.
He believed that City has achieved something unbelievable by snatching six Premier Leagues in seven years.
Arsenal drew 0-0 last month at the Etihad that had managed to keep them one point in front of City with nine games to play.
However, Man City were undisputed in the run-in, winning their nine final league games and scoring 33 goals.
