‘Moana 2’ coming to theaters this November: Disney Animation

Moana 2, an upcoming American animated musical fantasy action-adventure film, will be released in theatres this November.
The Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger on Wednesday announced the release date for the upcoming sequel with an epic photo and video teaser.
The Moana 2, directed and produced by Dave Derrick Jr and Osnat Shurer respectively, is a sequel to the hit (2016) animated film.
With this, very quickly, Moana and Maui are sailing back to the big screen.
The film will open in theatres on November 27, Iger said in a statement, adding that Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise.
“We can’t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui,” the Walt Disney boss said.
The music of The “Moana 2″, distributed by Walt Disney Studios, was made by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Mark Mancina, and Opetaia Foa’i.
According to the AP report, the first film earned over $680 million at the global box office. It has been streamed for over 1 billion hours on Disney+.
Disney Animation announced the live-action version of Moana last April. The voice behind Moana, star Auli’i Cravalho is serving as a new actress takes on the lead role.
According to Wikipedia, the development of “Moana 2” originally started as a television series in 2020. The series had been transformed into a theatrical sequel by February 2024.
According to the premise, after Moana receives an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, she must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
Walt Disney Animation Studios chief creative officer Jennifer Lee, on December 10, 2020, announced the musical series titled Moana based on the 2016 film of the same name, which was in development at the studio for Disney+.
