Later, it led to the progress of the annual WrestleMania, and since then, it has become the most successful specialised and professional wrestling event ever.

Vincent Kennedy McMahon was the younger son of Vincent James McMahon and Victoria née Hanner, later Vicki Askew couple. And, his stepfather was Leo Lupton.

McMahon’s father Vincent J. McMahon left the family taking his elder son Rod with him when Kennedy McMahon was still a baby. So, Kennedy McMahon was deprived of his father’s love and affection as he did not meet his father until he was 12.

McMahon grew up under the care of his mother Vicki Askew and his stepfather Vinnie Lupton McMahon alleged that one of his stepfathers, Leo Lupton, used to beat his mother up. Lupton also attacked him when he tried to save his mother from the beating.

Roderick James Jess McMahon was the paternal grandfather of McMahon, whose parents were Irish immigrants from County Galway.

Later in a media interview, Mcmahon said that he could kill his stepfather Leo Lupton and he would have enjoyed it but he (Lupton) died before.

Vince McMahon’s Business Career

World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) 1969–1979

When he was 12, McMahon first met his father Vincent J. McMahon, promoter for Capitol Wrestling Corporation (CWC).

At that time, McMahon became interested to follow in his father’s professional wrestling footsteps. Since then, he often accompanied his father on trips to Madison Square Garden. At one point, McMahon expressed his eagerness to his father to be a wrestler.

McMahon completed graduation from East Carolina University with a business degree and began his career as a traveling salesman. Later, he expressed his eagerness to take a managerial charge in his father’s WWWF promotion. McMahon emerged as an in-ring announcer for the WWWF’s All-Star Wrestling in 1969. And in 1971, he was assigned to a small area in Maine, where he endorsed his first card.

Later in the same year, McMahon turned into a play-by-play commentator for television matches in replace of Ray Morgan. Since then, he continued the role on a regular basis till November 1997.

In the 1970s, McMahon emerged as an important force for his father’s company, and over the next decade, he assisted his father in tripling the TV syndication.

McMahon has pushed for the renaming of the company to the WWF. The younger McMahon was also behind the Antonio Inoki versus Muhammad Ali match of 1976.

The younger McMahon in cooperation with his wife, Linda, founded their own company, Titan Sports in 1979, which was recognized in the following year. In 1982, the couple established control on the CWC.

The WWE was put in the face of industry competition from World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in the 1990s, prior to purchase the competing company in 2001.

In 2033, the WWE purchased the assets of the non-operational Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW).

Professional wrestling style and persona

McMahon is well-known for his on-screen personality and for his throaty exclamation you are fired! He is also famous for his power walk, an exaggerated strut toward the ring. He is a familiar wrestler for his style of swinging arms, moving his head from one side to another in a cocky manner.

The power walk was encouraged by one of McMahon’s favorite wrestlers Jerry Graham. In her autobiography, Mary Lillian Ellison, an American professional wrestler well-known by her ring name The Fabulous Moolah, termed McMahon as a ‘Nature Boy.’

McMahon has been a well-known face to wrestling fans since the 1970s. McMahon’s public-facing career is divided into two periods. One before 1997, when he was presented as a personable, play-by-play announcer, and his ownership of the promotion, and two after, when he personalized his real life to create the gimmick of Mr. McMahon.

McMahon is a wildly swagger-walking, irascible tyrant obsessed with maintaining tight, suit-wearing, agenda-driven control of his company at any and all cost, with the growled catch phrase “You’rrre firrred!!!”

Similarly, he has introduced several WWF/E talents into his Mr. McMahon: Kiss My Ass Club, in which he has uncovered his buttocks and enforced the talent to kneel and kiss his butt cheeks.

Under his Mr. McMahon gimmick, he infrequently took part in wrestling matches and became a two-time world champion, a multi-time pay-per-view headliner, and a Royal Rumble match-winner.
