Why is Hailee Steinfeld so famous?

Hailee Steinfield became famous for her role as Mattie Ross in the 2010 western film True Grit.
The role opposite Matt Damon and Jess Bridges earned a nomination for the Academy Award and a BAFTA Award the following year and multiple other accolades.
Born as Hailee Puring Steinfeld Steinfeld on 11 December 1996, in Los Angeles, California, Hailee is not only an actor but also a singer.
Her mother Cheri Domasin, an interior designer, is of African American and Filipino descent from her father’s side and of German and British Isles from her mother’s.
Hailee’s father Peter Steinfield is a personal trainer and is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent.
She was recognised further for her roles in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (2013) where she played Juliet, the Pitch Perfect film series, and The Edge of Seventeen (2016), which also got her a Golden Globe nomination.
Hailee also featured in Ender’s Game (2013), Begin Again (2013), and Bumblebee (2018).
In the Oscar-winning animated Feature, Into the Spider-Verse (2018), Hailee was the voice artist for the character Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman and its sequel Across the Spider-Verse (2023).
She has acted in the Apple TV series Dickinson where she plays Emily Dickinson and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she has been portraying Kate Bishop since 2021.
Hailee revealed her talent as a singer alongside being an actor after performing “Flashlight” in Pitch Perfect 2 (2015).
Her first single was “Love Myself”. Starving”, “Most Girls”, and “Let Me Go” are among other songs.
She hopes to be on the other side of the camera in the future as a director and producer.
