Country musician Zac Brown is filing a case against his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi, as the pair work through divorce proceedings.
According to the case statement obtained by NBC News, Brown is demanding that Yazdi remove a post from her Instagram account, alleging that the content is tarnishing his image.
Brown has claimed that Yazdi has broken a confidentiality agreement she had earlier signed. He is now seeking an emergency temporary restraining order against his ex-wife that would compel her to remove the post.
The lawsuit does not mention the Instagram post Brown sought to be taken down.
Additionally to the legal request to remove her Instagram post, Brown has also asked the court to prevent Yazdi from allegedly making any defamatory, false, untrue, or damaging statements against him or his family, or even the Zac Brown Collective.
Yazdi responded to Brown’s lawsuit on social media, claiming that not even Zac with all of his money, power, celebrity status, and lawyers can silence her right to freely express herself through art Even though she has till this day declined to speak about the circumstances of the pending divorce publicly.
Adding that she planned to respond swiftly to Brown’s allegations, Yazdi said that she had no plans on commenting anything about the lawsuit, which she deemed “unnecessary” and “legally meritless”.
