A Florida woman was sentenced to a month in prison and three months of home confinement on Tuesday for selling diary of President Joe Biden daughter’ Ashley Biden four years ago after stealing it.

The accused, Aimee Harris, 41, also was ordered to penalty $20,000, reports CNBC news.

Manhattan federal court Judge Laura Taylor Swain passed the order and called the woman’s actions “despicable.”A lawyer for Ashley Biden was in the audience.

Following the court order, Harris will have to serve three years of probation at her sentencing in US District Court in Manhattan.

Earlier, in August 2022 Harris pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge and admitted that she received $20,000 of the $40,000 paid by Project Veritas for personal items belonging to Ashley Biden.

According to report of the Associated Press, assistant US Attorney Robert Sobelman told Judge Laura Taylor Swain, before Harris was sentenced, that she had shown a “pattern of disrespect for the law and the justice system.

Harris was motivated to steal property of Ashley Biden to make as much money as she could,” and to harm President Biden politically, Sobelman said.

The assistant US Attorney also said, “Harris wanted to harm Ms. Biden’s father.”

According to the judge, Harris had initially attempted to sell Ashley Biden’s items to Donald Trump’s campaign.

In August 2022, Harris pleaded guilty to conspiring with Robert Kurlander, 60.  In September 2020, she planned to steal Ashley’s possessions from a Delray where Ashley previously lived.

Harris temporarily stayed at the Delray residence after Ashley vacated it.

According to court records, the woman got the diary, which had “highly personal entries,” as well as a digital storage card that Ashley had left behind.
