Kate Micucci, known for portraying Lucy on “The Big Bang Theory”, has undergone surgery after being recently diagnosed with lung cancer, although she “never smoked a cigarette in her life.

The 43-year-old actress disclosed her lung cancer diagnosis on TikTok video last week lying in a hospital bed.

In the video, she was seen lying in a hospital bed and said she is recovering successfully after she underwent surgery to treat the lung cancer.

“I am in hospital because I have been diagnosed with lung cancer despite having “never smoked a cigarette in my life,” Kate Micucci said in the clip.

The US actress and comedian joked calling her TikTok update a “SickTok”.

She said, “A preventative doctor conducted some scans. The spot in my lung was noticed while scanning my heart.”

Micucci also revealed how she was first diagnosed and mentioned it unexpected diagnosis.

However, she said the surgery was successful, adding that “I am “all good now.”

She played Lucy the love interest of Raj Koothrappali on The Big Bang Theory.

The performer, who appeared on “Scrubs” and “Will & Grace,” has also lent her voice to “Steven Universe,” “Milo Murphy’s Law” and “Scooby-Doo.”

Micucci expressed her eagerness to return to painting, but she will be moving slowly for the next few weeks.

She frequently posts pictures of her hand-drawn cartoons on social media.

In addition to her career as an actor, Micucci also performs with Riki Lindhome as one half of the musical comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates.
