What do we know about Taylor Swift dance class murder?

Axel Rudakubana, a British teenager, stabbed three young girls to death at a Taylor Swift-themed dance event in the northern English town of Southport last July.

There were 26 little girls making bracelets and singing along to Taylor Swift songs on the first day of summer vacation when the attack happened.

Rudakubana along with a large knife interfered and began stabbing the girls and their teacher.

When Rudakubana attacked the children in the seaside town of Southport in July, he was 17. The three victims are Alice Da Silva Aguiar, 9, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Bebe King, 6.

Eight other girls teacher Leanne Lucas and John Hayes, a local businessman who intervened were injured in the attack.

The people of the country were shocked following the attack, which set off both street violence and soul-searching.

The government later formed a public inquiry to investigate the incident and how the system failed to stop the killer.  The criminal has been referred to the authorities multiple times over his obsession with violence.

A video shows the suspect arriving at the Hart Space venue in a taxi and entering the building. Soon after his arrival, screams were heard and children were seen running outside in panic, while some of them were wounded.

One girl made it to the doorway but she was stabbed 32 times but survived. While playing the video, Gasps and sobs could be heard in court.

Police found horrific injury marks on the bodies of two dead children. One dead girl had 122 injuries while another suffered 85 wounds.

How many years did the killer get in jail?

On Thursday, a court sentenced the attacker to over 50 years in jail for his shocking and severe crime.

Axel Rudakubana wanted to try and carry out the mass murder of innocent, said Judge Julian Goose.

As Rudakubana was under 18 during his crime, he couldn’t impose a sentence of life without parole, Goose said.

But the judge He must serve 52 years, less the six months he’s been in detention before being considered for parole, and “likely, he will never be released.”

Who was Rudakubana?

Rudakubana was born to Christian parents from Rwanda in Cardiff, Wales.
