Kylian Mbappe: PSG superstar rejects Real Madrid to stay at Paris Saint-Germain

Kylian Mbappe has agreed to a new three-year contract at Paris Saint-Germain. Refusing a move to the Real Madrid in the process.
FC Barcelona players were ecstatic with Kylian Mbappe’s choice to remain at Paris Saint-Germain. The French wonder boy stunned the football world on Saturday by extending his contract with his home club until 2025. This was because, until just a few days ago, it appeared clear that he would depart the Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent on June 30 and join Barcelona’s main rival, Real Madrid.

While Los Blancos have yet to respond to the player who has refused them twice in the last five years, La Liga president Javier Tebas has been incensed by the scenario. Mbappe selected PSG over the 13-time Champions League winners while departing Monaco in 2017.
What PSG is doing by reinstating Mbappe utilizing huge amounts of money after failures of €700m in the last two seasons and a base pay bill of over €600m is an insult to football, the 59-year-old said on Twitter, while sharing pictures of Mbappe and PSG’s Qatari owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi, whom Tebas described as dangerous to.

Mbappe had been the subject of great conjecture since last summer when a transfer to Real Madrid fell through, and the AS Monaco youth team graduate was forced to see out the remainder of his contract before becoming a free agent this summer. According to Sports sources, PSG’s offer was marginally less than Real Madrid’s in almost every way, but the player decided to stay in Paris due to the personal and professional challenges it presents.
The news that Mbappe will stay is huge for PSG, who are aiming for European success in the near future after going all-in last summer with the purchase of Lionel Messi. Keeping Mbappe allows the club to keep him in the attack with Messi and Neymar, presuming neither moves on this summer.
