British-American designer Jonathan Ive, popularly known as Jony Ive, primarily designed the Apple iPhone. He was also the former chief design officer of Apple.

Ive and his industrial design team played a key role in designing the iPhone’s sleek. Scott Forstall, who led the development of iOS, directed the software side.

He worked closely with US entrepreneur, inventor Steve Jobs, best known as the co-founder of Apple Inc., who provided visionary leadership.

The iPhone was developed with a collaborative effort involving hardware, software, and user experience teams.

Then–Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs announced the first-generation iPhone on January 9, 2007 and launched it later that year.

Born in London, England, on February 27, 1967, Jony Ive, a British industrial designer, joined Apple in 1992 and later became the company’s chief design officer.

Besides, Ive has played an important role in designing iPhone, the iMac, iPod, iPad, and Apple Watch. He has been involved in designing in many of Apple’s most iconic products. He was known for his simple and stylish design philosophy.

Ive left Apple in 2019 to start his design firm, LoveFrom.
