Frequently Asked Questions
QWill the timer work if I close the browser or put my device to sleep?
No. The timer works only while the page is open and the browser is active. You can keep it in the background tab and it will continue.
QWhat is the difference between Duration and Target date and time?
Duration runs for a fixed time that you enter. Target date and time counts down to a specific moment using your current time zone. If the moment has already passed, it shows how long ago it was.
QCan I use my own sound?
Yes. You can paste a direct link to an audio file such as MP3, M4A, or WAV. You can also upload a file from your device. Uploaded audio plays locally and is not sent to a server.
QHow can I share my timer with someone?
Open Edit, click Copy link, and share the link. When someone opens it, the timer loads with your settings. For uploads, the link uses a preset sound for privacy.
QDoes it work on mobile phones?
Yes. It works on most modern mobile browsers. Keep the tab open for the countdown and make sure the sound is not muted.
QCan I loop the alarm until I stop it?
Yes. Choose Loop until stopped in the finish behaviour. If you want a single alert, choose Play once.
QCan I run more than one timer at the same time?
Use separate tabs or windows to run multiple timers. You can also create and share different links for each timer.
