Euphoria, an American teen drama television series about a teen girl working through addiction and the usual challenges of adolescence, features lots of boundary-pushing content related to sex, drugs, and sexual violence.

According to Common Sense Media, parents need to know that girls fall prey to violation in many ways, including being leered at, groped, and touched without their permission.

Forcing characters at gunpoint to take off their clothes, standard episode content includes things like a girl and a drug dealer.

Expect frequent nudity in both sexual and nonsexual contexts. The characters’ early trauma is explored.

Girls are often depicted as abused and boys as abusers; though some characters do have redemptive arcs, there is not a lot of kindness or thoughtfulness on display.

The name of Euphoria came up again recently after Euphoria actor Eric Dane was diagnosed with ALS.

According to the Mayo Clinic, ALS is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord and causes loss of muscle control. The disease also breathes and eats problems and can cause dementia.

Actor Eric Dane has revealed that he has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a type of motor neurone disease.
