Celine Dion makes surprise appearance at 2024 Grammy awards

Five-time Grammy winner Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Grammys in Los Angeles on Sunday to present the final award of the night, album of the year.

The Canadian pop superstar made the appearance amid her battle with the rare neurological condition Stiff Person Syndrome, reports BBC.

Celine Dion,55, announced in 2022 that she has a rare neurological disease that makes it difficult for her to sing.

The music icon earned a standing ovation as she walked on stage to present the album of the year award.

Even though the Grammys award had many people thrilled, Celine Dion’s presentation in the category just made things more exciting.

After Dion presented the prize to Taylor Swift for her album Midnights, the pop superstar, 34, celebrated her win by hugging the pop icon.

Later, the two singers were photographed in a sweet embrace backstage at the awards ceremony.

The “My Heart Will Go On” singer dressed in a light pink gown, paired with a burnt orange coat, while the “Lavender Haze” singer was in her white, corseted Schiaparelli dress.

Celine Dion said. “Thank you all, and said she loves all right back as she received a standing ovation.

 The singer was accompanied onstage by her son to present the night’s biggest prize of the year, 27 years after Diana Ross and Stinger presented the prize to her.

Dion, who announced a documentary following her battle against the disorder last week, indicated in the announcement that she was aiming to return to singing.

She has sold more than 250 million albums during her 40-year career.
