Michelle Troconis was found guilty of conspiracy for helping to cover up the mysterious killing of Jennifer Dulos, nearly five years after the mother of five went missing in Connecticut.

Michelle Troconis has been found guilty on all counts during trial in connection with the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos.

The jury found involvement of Troconis to commit murder, tampering with physical evidence, conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence, and hindering prosecution.

Carrie Luft, a spokeswoman for Jennifer Dulos’ family and friends, said in a statement Friday that they have lost a mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and cherished friend.

According to Luft, the verdict consists of meticulously collected, analyzed, and presented evidence to illuminate an unconscionable series of crimes.

What happened to Jennifer Dulos?

During a custody dispute with her estranged husband Fotis Dulos, Jennifer Dulos disappeared on May 24, 2019. Although her body has never been found, a judge has declared her legally dead.

Fotis died by suicide in January 2020, weeks after he was charged with the murder of Jennifer.

Fotis killed his estranged wife in her garage on May 24, 2019, Prosecutors have alleged.

According to New Haven ABC affiliate WTNH, the jury saw an interrogation tape in which Troconis acknowledged to lying about seeing Fotis Dulos at their home on the morning Jennifer Dulos disappeared during Troconis’ trial.

According to the Hartford Courant, police testified that surveillance footage showed Fotis Dulos driving while Troconis was in the passenger seat in Hartford.

Troconis said she never denied being in the car with her boyfriend and denied having any involvement in the murder, according to Defense attorney Jon Schoenhorn.

Prosecutor Michelle Manning reminded the jury of the garage in closing arguments. Investigators think Fotis killed his wife and the blood-soaked items thrown in the trash.
