As per Islamic ritual, fasting is sacred to Muslims. Fasting is observed by Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, and following a Ramadan timetable is essential to ensure the fast begins and ends at the correct times each day. According to Islamic rules, fasting means refraining from all forms of food, drink, sexual activities, and immorality from dawn (Fajr) to sunset (Maghrib). By doing so, a Muslim demonstrates greater reliance on Allah. It is known to all Muslims that fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam. During fasting, any acts that are generally considered sinful are not performed by Muslims. However, during fasting, Muslims continue to perform their daily activities, guided by the Ramadan timetable to maintain discipline and spiritual focus.

Ramadan Timing Calendar for 2025 in Bangladesh
The Islamic Foundation, Ministry of Religious Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, works on the schedule of Ramadan. Muslims in Bangladesh follow the Sehri and Iftar schedule of the Islamic Foundation. Each year the schedule for Sehri and Iftar is on the eve of Ramadan. Like previous years, the Islamic Foundation finalized the Sehri and Iftar timetable for Ramadan 1446 Hijri and published the timings for the convenience of Muslim devotees. Here we are discussing the Ramadan Timetable 2025 in Bangladesh.
The holy month of Ramadan in the year 1446 Hijri began on March 2, as the National Moon Sighting Committee, on March 1, announced that the new crescent moon was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh.
The Islamic Foundation, as a precaution, set the last time for Sehri three minutes before Subah-e-Sadiq. On the other hand, it set the beginning time of the Fajr prayer three minutes after Subah-e-Sadiq.
The Islamic Foundation instructed that the Sehri time and the Iftar time in different parts of the country would vary slightly due to geographical location. It said that Muslims would add or subtract nine minutes from the time of Dhaka, the capital district of Bangladesh, to adjust their Sehri and Iftar times.
Besides, the Islamic Foundation announced that Fajr Azan should be given six minutes after the end of Sehri. It also said that Muslims would take Iftar three minutes after sunset. In addition, it will be done as a precautionary matter.
Here you can see the daily Sehri timing in Dhaka and the iftar time in Dhaka. The following table is the Ramadan Calendar 2025 applicable to Dhaka.
In Bangladesh, the month of Ramadan in the year 1446 Hijri began on March 2. The Sehri time in Dhaka was 5:04am on the first day of Ramadan on March 2, while the Iftar time was 6:02pm.
